Scoring 1000 career points at any level is quite an accomplishment, and that is exactly what Kinsley Barrington did last week against a scrappy Mountain Ridge team. With her parents and extended family there to witness the special moment, Mountain Ridge honored her by calling a time out after Kinsley scored her 1000th point and announced her incredible feat over the PA. Fans from both sides cheered her on as her teammates mobbed her along the sideline.
Coach Dorais had this to say about her star player: “We’d like to extend a big congratulations to Kinsley Barrington for this great personal achievement. We are so proud of the efforts done at both University High School (WA) and Timpview High School, and are grateful for not only her basketball skill-set but for the immense leadership and kindness she brings to our program. There’s no doubt that this accomplishment is a direct product of her tremendous work ethic, and for her to set that example for Timpview Girls Basketball and our entire Timpview community is such a gift.”
Congratulations to Kinsley Barrington on a job well done, and to her parents for all the time and sacrifices made to help their daughter reach her goals. GO T-BIRDS!!!
